Hi-res 24bit/192kHz added to Naim Audio Streaming Products
From this week Naim Audio’s NDX network player will be updated to stream high-definition 24bit/192kHz audio files while the NaimUniti and UnitiQute all-in-one players will be updated to offer both 24bit/192kHz streaming and an alarm clock, a feature already offered by the new SuperUniti. The update also adds ALAC / Apple Lossless compatibility (up to 24bit/96kHz) to all three products.
The 24bit/192kHz update will become standard on NDX units shipped from today. An update will be available for units already in the field. Customers who purchased an NDX after the 1st July 2011 will be eligible to have their unit updated free of charge (until 31st December).
NaimUniti and UnitiQute customers now have the option of specifying their new unit either with 24bit/192kHz streaming or the standard 24bit/96kHz. There will be a higher charge for units equipped with 24bit/192kHz streaming. An update will also be available for units already in the field.
The 24bit/192kHz update will become standard on the NaimUniti and UnitiQute all-in-one players, replacing the 24bit/96kHz specification, next year (date still to be confirmed).
