One of the most promising emerging artists in Britain today being Fable has today returned with ‘Guilt of The Act’, a funk-pop dancefloor filler for the good-times, out via Naim Records.

The belated summer anthem marvellously interweaves between funk, pop as well as sun-drenched psychedelic and Southern rock – all soaked in Fable’s ever-serene soulful vocals – with the resulting factor being sensational self-proclaimed “Danger-Pop”.

Taken off of the much-anticipated debut album ‘Shame’, set for release via Naim Records in 2022, the much-hyped Fable, who has seen support in 2021 from the likes of NME, BBC 6 Music, The Independent and Clash Magazine return is a gloriously infectious marvel that clasps to the mind itself.

On the single, which many Fable or Naim Records fans may have already had heard, thanks to Chris Hawkins kindly premiering ‘Guilt of the Act’ to the world on BBC 6 Music, Fable in detail of its symbolism explains:

“I never thought I would write a song like Guilt of the Act, its so immediate and sharp - I’ve cut off all my frills which has resulted in what I would call Danger Pop. The song was born out of my frustration with the music industry and the broader focus of social media. It’s about voting with your ethics when being represented, not chasing the path of least resistance because of various financial incentives. It’s basically me being really stubborn and making shit really hard for myself cause I’ve got a lot of pride. I don’t want my career to impact negatively on the fabric of the world. Dreams have too much material cost. I don’t want to be complicit in the mess around me, that I’m very much aware of, and I never want to offer up my hands to work on something where the agenda is set by big business. We are living in the age of the influencer. When I was a kid, that word was always used in a negative sentence, ‘I think Gemma is a bad influence on you’. To be influenced negatively is to have lost your inner compass. I think it’s time the people with the real influence owned their opinions from the heart and felt some Guilt for their Act.”

Be sure to stream to the single, or purchase it via our favourite services, which will no doubt sound incredible on your Naim systems.
