
Naim Audio’s Simon Drake makes MiiGB 30 Under 30
Simon Drake, General Manager of Naim Label, has been announced as one of 30 young rising stars of manufacturing as part of the Make it in Great Britain campaign. Simon was selected by a panel of expert judges for his passion, enthusiasm and ambition in turning Naim Label into a place where independent musical talent can thrive. He will be joining talent from other prestigious companies including GlaxoSmithKline, Pendennis Shipyard and Bentley Motors to act as an ambassador for British manufacturing and to represent the diverse range of career opportunities on offer in the industry.
In his time at Naim Label Simon has overseen the launch of three sub-labels (Naim Edge, Naim Jazz and Naim Classical), signed many exciting and talented new artists and launched one of the UK’s first high-definition music download stores. Recognition has come in the form of numerous awards and nominations, most notably with Empirical of Naim Jazz winning a MOBO award in 2010.
