Award-winning HDX gets SSD

Naim Audio confirms at this year’s Munich show that the multi-award-winning HDX is to be offered with a 16GB Enterprise grade Single Level Cell (SLC) Solid State Drive (SSD).

HDX-SSD, designed to cater for the music lover with an extensive collection, has no local storage and is designed to save to NAS giving almost infinite storage capability.

The HDX-SSD also gets significant performance improvements with updates to its RAM and a new PCI audio card. Existing owners can upgrade their HDX with the new RAM and PCI card through their local Naim Audio retailer. Upgrading to the SSD drive is also possible and requires a return either to Naim Audio of the local Naim Audio distributor. HDX-SSD will be available July 2010.
