Shirley Clarke, 1933-2012
Shirley Clarke, co-founder of Naim Audio, died suddenly this weekend aged 78. As co-founder of Naim Audio, Shirley was instrumental in helping the company to establish itself and grow throughout the 1970s and 80s to become the world leader it is today.
Naim Audio’s Managing Director, Paul Stephenson, has put together the following tribute to Shirley. “Shirley was a close personal friend of mine and she will be sorely missed by many here at Naim Audio who had the privilege of knowing her. Shirley put her heart and soul into Naim Audio and we certainly would not be where we are today without her. In the early days she provided essential stability and guidance alongside fellow co-founder Julian Vereker. Together, their determination and passion allowed Naim Audio to establish itself and to grow to be the world leader that it is today. She truly was a wonderful and charismatic woman. My thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time.”
