Charlie Haden wins Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award

In celebration of legendary Jazz artist Charlie Haden receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 55th Grammy awards last weekend (9th February) in LA, we are proud to offer our much cherished Charlie Haden catalogue as Naim Audio Hi Definition downloads from only £9.99 for a limited time only.

Charlie Haden, a Naim Audio hi-fi aficionado himself, began his career performing with Paul Bley and then Ornette Coleman on the seminal album ‘The Shape Of Jazz To Come’ in 1959. Haden’s liberal and lyrical approach helped redefine bass playing for the free jazz generation and beyond. Charlie’s on-going legacy spans seven decades of critically acclaimed record music. The Private Collection, his first project for Naim Label, was released in 1994 and was in fact the label’s first original record release. This limited edition issue, comprised of a special performance at Charlie’s own 50th birthday party from 1987 and a Missouri homecoming show in 1988 that Naim Audio’s True Stereo analogue recording engineer Ken Christianson had captured live.

To find out more about all of Charlie's Naim Label albums and to take up this limited time only offer follow the link below.
