Statement on Tour

11 countries, 4 continents and countless fans. We take a look back at the journey our flagship amplification system, Statement, has taken in 2014.

Since setting off from its launch at CES, Las Vegas in January, our flagship amplification system, Statement, has made its way around the globe. And with the full system weighing over quarter of a ton, that's no small feat. We take a look back at the journey before it returns to CES paired with the new Focal Grande Utopia EM loudspeakers this coming January.

Las Vegas, USA - January 2014

Statement was revealed to the world at the opening of CES Las Vegas, on 7th January 2014. Following the release of our Statement teaser film the previous December, we hosted a VIP event at the famous Venetian Hotel to unveil our ultimate amplification system to the world press and industry experts. Naturally, they were blown away. What Hi-Fi? went on to honour Statement with a coveted ‘Stars of CES 2014’ award for the performance, and the incredible reviews continued to roll in.

Bristol, UK - February 2014

After a stunning launch in the US, the NAC S1 preamplifier and NAP S1 mono power amplifiers returned to home territory for their UK debut. Visitors travelled from far and wide to experience the pinnacle of Naim Audio engineering knowledge and artistry at Bristol Sound & Vision 2014. With queues out the door for tickets to our closed demonstrations, Naim Audio Sales Director, Doug Graham, lead the demonstrations, talking through the engineering and design behind our ultimate amplification system.

Moscow, Russia - April 2014

Following a continued wealth of exceptional press from global news platforms including The Telegraph, Wired and MSN, Statement took to its 3rd continent in almost as many months to be awarded the prestigious 'Best Design' and 'Product of the Year' awards at the Hi-Fi & High-End Show, Moscow 2014.

Steve Sells, Electronic Design Director and lead on the Statement project, was there to collect the awards, commenting, “to really push the boundaries of what we could achieve has required the efforts of teams from across Naim Audio. Electronic, mechanical and industrial design engineers with combined experience totalling well over a hundred years have contributed to this project”.

Munich, Germany - May 2014

Statement continued its world tour with sold out demonstrations throughout the Munich High-End Show 2014, seeing thousands of visitors experience the NAC S1 preamplifier and the NAP S1 mono power amplifiers driving Focal Grande Utopia loudspeakers to create a truly colossal system. Our ‘Meet the Engineers’ video was launched alongside the European debut, giving viewers the chance to hear just some of our engineers talk about the processes and philosophy behind the ultimate amplification system.

 

Hong Kong, China - August 2014

Taking centre stage at the Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show 2014, Statement pulled huge crowds throughout the show weekend as the NAC S1 preamplifier and NAP S1 mono power amplifiers continued to build their reputation as the ultimate in high-end audio. The Asian debut was long anticipated, and the arrival of Statement in Hong Kong did not disappoint. 

London, UK - September

The world-famous Abbey Road studios was the fitting stage for the next appearance of our Statement amplification system. To mark the launch of The Beatles In Mono vinyl remasters, the NAC S1 preamplifier, NAP S1 mono power amplifiers and Focal Grande Utopia loudspeakers treated lucky visitors to some legendary tracks at Studio 2, where The Beatles recorded the majority of their material.

 

New York, USA - October 2014

Returning to the USA for its second time in 2014, we demonstrated Statement to a mass of visitors at the New York Audio Show, just along from the Brooklyn Bridge. This time paired with Stella Utopia EM loudspeakers, the combination proved to be quite spectacular, with Wired.com commenting in their show round-up, "it's more than just an amplifier".

Melbourne, Australia - November 2014

The Australian Audio & AV Show in Melbourne kick-started the Australian leg of the Statement tour, with trips to some lucky retailers to follow.

Hosted in association with Bentley motors, West Australia Naim Audio retailer, Surrounds, lead an exclusive event with the Statement amplification system as the star of the fully packed show. Our first wireless music system, Mu-so, made its Australian debut at alongside the newly launched Bentley GTC V8S convertible.

Next Stop

After a truly incredible year, Statement will return to where it was first unveiled this January at CES Las Vegas 2015, paired once again with Focal Grande Utopia EM loudspeakers, which will be making their CES debut. The initial stages of production and distribution are now taking place, with customers from both UK and export markets welcoming some of the first units to leave Naim Audio HQ.

Our debut system will continue to travel for the coming months, delighting fans from across the world, before returning to where it all began, the Naim Audio factory, Salisbury.
