40 Years of Naim Audio
On June 4th 1973, the late Julian Vereker MBE registered his new company ‘Naim Audio’ with business partner Shirley Clarke. His only ambition was to bring the thrill of live music into the home. Today, forty years later, we celebrate how we have become a world leader in the design and manufacture of cutting edge hi-fi equipment by staying true to those founding principles of bringing people closer to music.
Naim Audio Heritage
Our new interactive heritage page features a timeline plotting the key events in our history since Julian Vereker began experimenting with building his own amplifiers and loudspeakers in the late 1960s up to the present day. The music section highlights the landmark releases that have shaped the history of Naim Label. Many of our classic albums have been painstakingly remastered in 24bit/192kHz high resolution to celebrate our 40th year.
Share your vintage and new system pictures
We’re also inviting all Naim Audio customers to share pictures of their systems, both vintage and new, with us through the ‘Guestbook’ section. They can also upload pictures via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using #naimaudio40. The best photography and stories will be featured in a special anniversary infographic which will be available in late June.
